Spaghetti night!

I made Akyah and I spaghetti for dinner last night and this is how it went...

Akyah is growing daily it seems. As you can see from the picture above she now has 4 teeth. She is crawling every where, pulling herself up, and occasionally stands "hands free" until she realizes what she's doing then holds back on for dear life. She is now saying hi, up, stop, uh-oh which comes out as "oh" and she's also trying to say her name. I got her 10 month pictures done but haven't gone to Kinko's yet to scan them yet but hope to soon. We have a lot going on this summer so keep checking the blog for updates on our busy life.

"Stop"

Last Saturday Akyah started saying her 1st consistent word: "Stop!" I do not tell Akyah "no" I tell her stop because stop it is obviously a harder word to say than no but apparently not for my baby. When I was playing back the following video and you could hear me say "Akyah Lynn" she said stop again, same time as in the video. Too cute. She has also been saying things like mama, dada, and up just not as much as she says stop :o)

Akyah decided, this morning, to start crawling on her knees instead of doing the "army crawl." Here is a short video of my little sweetie in action:

Visiting grandpa

After the birthday party on Sunday, Akyah and I took grandpa some roses. Every time we've gone to see him Akyah has been sleeping so this time I woke her up and we went and talked to grandpa for awhile and I got these adorable pictures:
